Day 01: Delhi Sightseeing

Enjoy sightseeing tour of Delhi, start the day with an orientation tour of Old Delhi, enjoy a drive pass through the magnificent Red Fort constructed by the Great Mughal emperor Shahjahan in1638-48 AD, Jama Masjid Mosque- the largest mosque in India constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan between 1644- 56 AD. After old Delhi sightseeing head to New Delhi and visit Rajghat- memory place of Mahatma Gandhi, India Gate – The memorial was built to commemorate the Indian and British soldiers who died in World War I and the Afghan wars. The names of Martyrs are inscribed on the walls of the memorial, Rashtrapati Bhawan – the official residence of the President of India with 340 rooms, it is the largest residence of any Head of the state of the world. In the afternoon visit the Qutub Minaret built in 1193 AD it is the highest stone tower in India. Delhi sightseeing tour ends with a visit to the Lotus Temple – an architectural marvel of the Bahai faith. The lotus shaped Temple is set among pools and the Gardens, which gives an impression of a floating half open lotus flower surrounded by its outspread leaves.
