Day 01: Arrive Bikaner
Arrive Bikaner, famed as camel country was founded in 1486 AD by Bika, one of the fourteen sons of Rao Jodha, the Rathore King who established the city of Jodhpur. Still today one can feel the medieval aura pervading the city’s lifestyle of Bikaner. Arrive Bikaner and check in to designated Hotel. Overnight stay at Bikaner.
Day 02: Bikaner Sightseeing & Departure from Bikaner
Start the sightseeing of royal city Bikaner with visit to Junagarh Fort constructed in 1593 AD by Raja Rai Singh, the fort has the enviable reputation of never been conquered or seized, Prachina Museum housed in the Junagarh fort exhibiting a rich collection of royal costumes, textiles and accessories. Visit Lalgarh Palace, constructed in red sandstone, the palace is an architectural delight and a fine synthesis of Rajput, Mughal and European architectural style, Visit famous Havelis or huge mansions of Kotharis, Rampurias, Vaids and Dagas who were wealthy and powerful people of the yesteryears. These havelis adorned with intricate carvings and sprawling courtyards, gives one an idea of their opulent lifestyle. Enjoy visit to Camel breeding farm the only one of its kind in Asia and famous Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok which is well known for its rats, that scuttle unharmed and free all over the place.
